Ewart House

Ewart House has been designed to offer older people more choice, to promote independence and provide an affordable alternative to residential care.

It offers a higher level of support than can generally be provided within a traditional sheltered housing scheme. All flats are fully accessible and adaptable over time, and make use of assistive technology to promote independence whilst ensuring a safe and secure environment.

The buildings are highly energy efficient, and all the extra care flats achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4. Internal water consumption meets BRE targets through use of rainwater harvesting and a combined heat and power plant will work in combination with solar thermal and photovoltaic panels.

The scheme works closely with our Hertfordshire care office to deliver a wide range of care and support needs and provide a person centred service in line with your own aims.
